The Great Houdini TV Movie 1976
Several movies and documentaries have been made about The Great Houdini. All these movies have been very entertaining, but each mixes fact, fiction, and drama in a very different way. This 1976 version starred Paul Michael Glaser (Starsky and Hutch) Sally Struthers (All in the Family) and Ruth Gordan (Rosemary’s Baby). This version says much more about Houdini’s conflict between his beloved Mother (Gordon) and Bess (Struthers) over religious differences. This version has an all-star Hollywood cast.
